Connect with Small Groups |

Small groups are a great way to get to know others in the church and to grow spiritually. There are several small groups that meet throughout the week at Maggie UMC. We're sure you'll find one that fits you!
Adult
There are three opportunities for Bible Study during the week.
- The Monday group meets at Noon in the Fellowship Hall (bring your own lunch).
- The Wednesday group meets at 6:30 p.m. for a covered dish meal in Fellowship Hall with Bible stories and craft time for children.
- The Lunch Bunch meets for lunch and also assists those that would like to get out but can't do so on their own. Meeting times are announced in the church bulletin and the Love in Action Newsletter .
Children
- Vacation Bible School is usually held for 1 week during the summer months.
- Children's Choir - meets to practices for special programs throughout the year. Contact the church office for more information.
- Summer Camp is held during the day-time through the summer.
- After School Program
Service
- The Community Outreach Program helps disabled and elderly persons in our community who may need a meal, visit, or other aid. To volunteer for this program, call 828-926-0662 or email

- Open Door Collection Sunday is sponsored by the church the first Sunday of each month. Canned goods and other items are collected to be donated to The Open Door Soup Kitchen. Canned goods and other non-perishable food items are currently needed to replenish the food pantry. If you feel led, bring your donations to the church office.
- Maggie UMC is involved in mission projects throughout the year including a service project to West Virginia to provide food, clothing, and Christmas gifts to a needy community and service projects to Wyoming and Biloxi to help with building projects.
- The Lending Closet provides wheel chairs, crutches and other health aid items to those in the community who need them. To get involved with this ministry call 828-926-3423 or email

- Angel Food Ministry helps with the cost of groceries by providing a pre-order package at a discount price. Find out more about the Angel Food Ministry .
Music
- Adult Choir - come and be part of a "joyful noise"! The Maggie UMC choir practices Wednesdays at 6pm and Sundays at 9am
- Children's Choir - meets for special programs. Call the church office for more information.
Older Adult
- Young at Heart, a group for senior fellowship, meets the second Thursday of each month at 2:00 pm.
Women
Youth
- Youth group for age 11-12th graders meet Sundays at 5pm. Find out more about Maggie UMC Youth.
- Confirmation class meets at the direction of the pastor (call the church office for more informatin)
