What is this Angel Food? It is a ministry of our church that distributes top quality food, from major producers throughout the contry, to assist with day-to-day grocery needs. There are no qualifications that you have to meet, no applications to fill out. For $25 each month, participants receive a variety of meats, fresh or frozen vegetables, and staples such as rice, beans and canned goods. If purchased at a regular grocery store, this food would normally cost between $42 and $78! Also, participants can choose to purchase a specialty box with such options as steaks, chicken, pork, coffee, and cheeses. There is no limit to the number of boxes a participant can purchase. To participate, download this month's Angel Food Order Form and mail or bring to the church by the deadline given with payment by cash, check, money-order, or Food Stamp EBT card. How It's Grown! This practical ministry is helping individuals from all over Haywood County. The original 10 volunteers who began this ministry has grown to over 45 church and community volunteers! Some participate in the administrative aspects while others help unload and distribute food on distribution days.
