Knowing Christ, Growing Faith, Serving Others

Project AGAPE Boxes

As a part of Western North Carolina missions, MVUMC collects gifts and supplies for children in Armenia.  Each year, a child in need receives a box full of delightful and needed items.  We keep a collection box in the front foyer of the church, so you may drop off donations at any time.

We could use your help collecting items for these boxes!  Please add small toys to one of your shopping lists.  Needed especially:  $5.00 per shoebox for shipping.

Project AGAPE is a joint-ministry venture of the Western and North Carolina Conferences of the United Methodist Church.  Project AGAPE’s Director Nara Melkonyan has spoken with a group here at MVUMC.  She told of the great need for our shoe boxes and answered questions about this joint mission project with the Armenian Apostolic Church in Armenia.  All kinds of GREAT shoe box items will be collected throughout the year.  And please plan to help pack our boxes on September 22nd, 2019.
