Project AGAPE Boxes

As a part of Western North Carolina missions, MVUMC collects gifts and supplies for children in Armenia.  Each year, a child in need receives a box full of delightful and needed treats.  To learn more about Project Agape Boxes click here.

We could use your help collecting items for these boxes!  Please add small toys to one of your shopping lists for this month.  Needed especially for August: Cloth diapers and diaper pins, pencil sharpeners, markers, pencils, notebook paper, crayons, coloring books, rulers or $5.00 per shoebox for postage.

Project AGAPE is a joint-ministry venture of the Western and North Carolina Conferences of the United Methodist Church.  Project AGAPE’s Director Nara Melkonyan spoke with a group here at MVUMC last summer.  She told of the great need for our shoeboxes and answered questions about this joint mission project with the Armenian Apostolic Church in Armenia.  All kinds of GREAT shoebox items will be provided.  Please plan to take time to pack a box on September 24th.
