Providing care for loved ones is a wonderful and sometimes difficult task. We can sit with a family member for a short period of time (3 hours or less) while you do errands, go to appointments or enjoy some quiet time. Call Clarissa Fisher at 828-377-1576. There is no cost!
Open dawn to dusk, the Todd and Ruth Henry Park is one of our congregation’s best kept secrets. Take a quiet walk and restore your spirit. Todd and Ruth Henry donated this and other land to Maggie Valley UMC. We also use this area for various events through the year, including outdoor Worship and our children’s Easter Egg Hunt.
Drive through our parking lot, cross the one-lane bridge over Jonathan Creek and discover an old barn, cookout shelter, walking trail, and open field – a wonderful, quiet place to relax. Dogs are welcome. Please clean up after your pet!
“In God’s Creation” Hiking Group enjoys checking out the local mountain trails, creeks, and waterfall hikes. The last hike was on October 28th. Watch this space for more info on upcoming hikes!
Postponed for now… A Bones, Balance, and Strength Class meets (May through October) on Thursdays at 10am for one hour in the Fellowship Hall. Cost to participate is $4.00 per person.
Men and women of all ages are welcome! This is a low impact, fun, and rewarding class; taught by a certified instructor from Maggie Mountain Fitness. No equipment is needed, just good shoes and comfortable clothing.
There is nothing like a Maggie Valley United Methodist Covered Dish Meal! We hold them throughout the year and everyone who has an appetite is welcome!
On Thanksgiving Day, Maggie Valley churches come together to serve a Community Thanksgiving Meal for those who would like to spend the day with their church family and friends.
Five area churches all contribute to provide this meal from 11am until 2pm in our Fellowship Hall. Volunteers are always needed at this special meal. Everyone is welcome!
Each July our congregation hosts a Gospel Fest with BBQ at our barn in the Todd & Ruth Henry Park across Jonathan Creek. All of the proceeds support missions. Contact the church for the upcoming year’s schedule.
