The Missions at Maggie Valley United Methodist Church always need more helpers!  If you can welcome guests, cook a meal, take out trash, clean up a room, wash dishes, organize food, pack a shoebox or have any other talents or gifts you’d like to share, come join us!  We will help you find a way to serve within your ability and comfort level.  Contact the Pastor or the church office (828-926-8036) for more information.

Food Assistance

Our Church Food Pantry operates on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:00am until noon.  *Please note*  When Haywood County Schools are closed the Church Office, Shepherd’s Table and Food Pantry will all be closed.  If you would like to donate food, cans or packets of food and personal hygiene items are always appreciated!  Many individuals and families use this mission each week.

We always need help picking up food from Manna Foodbank or help putting the food up when it arrives at the church. We also collect food on Monday and Friday mornings from Publix in Waynesville. Thanks to the Manna Foodbank and Publix for their donations. Call the church office to help out!

The Shepherd’s Table meal offers free dinner delivery (during this time) at 3:30pm on Mondays. We serve families, seniors, and singles in need of a good meal and fellowship.

Usually, Church members and guests share a good meal and meet their neighbors. Financial gifts may be given, but are not required. We love help greeting, cooking, serving, and cleaning. Call the church office to help!

On Thanksgiving Day, Maggie Valley churches serve a Community Thanksgiving Meal for those who would like to spend the day with their church family and friends. Five area churches provide this meal from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm.
